I believe that if you already have D2 and some of the DLCs you can check out their final bundle "Destiny 2: The Collection", its like $26 but I think its discounted for each DLC you already own. I ended up having all the DLC already but I didnt have the dungeon keys. The dungeon keys are now free in the bundle and because I had all the DLC already the bundle was actually free for me.

If I have never played Destiny 2 before, is the bundle worth getting? I know they vaulted a bunch of early content, so I am worried I will be totally lost

Do you have friends that have played? A friend who had played a ton got me into the game last year. I will say that D2 has the worst onboarding/new player experience I have ever seen. It is VERY overwhelming to get started. That said once I got familiar with the terms and menus it was a very fun game to play. I haven't had a chance to Raid yet due to the dungeons being paywalled but Im looking to try that out this summer. I think the entire collection bundle is on steam for $26 now. If you have never played and have friends to play with there is a ton of content for $26. I think I paid like $9 for everything up to Edge of Fate. Then I paid $35 for Edge of Fate + Renegades. I feel that my >$50 investment was totally worth it.

They are no longer releasing any new content for the game but they did just have a major patch this week that the community really likes and sets the game up to continue on without the new content (rotating equipment/battle pass).

I def don't have any friends that have played before but I have some friends I could maybe get into it. We have been playing arc and marathon together but they find Marathon too hard and looking for of a PvE game

I'm actually playing this game right now, but I only play the easiest mode in the game. This game is really fun, you can easily spend hundreds of hours on it. There are so many campaigns, dungeons and other stuffs. One of the most difficult games I've ever played.
