I love my Ego trimmer. I have the one with the carbon fiber shaft, but I'm sure this one is great too. That powerload head is amazing and gets you reloaded and good to go in a minute or less. I just sent this over to my brother to recommend the deal. Thanks for posting!

This EGO string trimmer is probably the only EGO tool that 2.5AH battery will be good at. Any other tool requires at least the 4.0AH battery to work properly. But this is actually very good price especially if you are already an Ego brand user.

If you neither have Ryobi or Ego and just starting this is the better choice. But if you are already into the Ryobi brand you'd be better off with the Ryobi. But when it comes to performance, this EGO trimmer kicks butt not to mention its auto load feature.

I have ZERO clue in the pricing of these, but ready to make the switch to Ego from my stihl gas stuff. Should I expect similar prices for father's day? Blower + trimmer combo would be nice, but probably start with just the trimmer?

this is the lowest price it's ever been. I doubt it will be cheaper any time soon. go to camelcamelcamel and check out the price history yourself (can't post link here for some reason)
