Like taking a f1 car for a leisurely drive around the block.
These are carbon plate super shoes, every part of their design is geared towards race pace running. Numerous other shoes would suit your needs better and would cost less. Which best suits you depends on your gait and personal preference.

Or ditch the carbon shoes altogether. There have been numerous lawsuits made by elite runners to Nike, Puma, etc that claim their carbon shoes have resulted in career ending injuries.

They can be, but I'd highly recommend not. They not even for a slow easy jog. They're for racing, or fast training. Walking or running slow just ends up with the "bounce" of the shoe causing you more stress.

shoes don't cause injuries, over training causes injuries.
And Most of the injuries talked about are stress fractures and achilles tears, which happen frequently with all types of footwear
These shoes are not for daily training or casual use.
They should come out for race day to give you that extra pop to cut your time by a few points.

Already been said repeatedly but absolutely not, on top of what everyone else said these have more of a rounded bottom for running, which makes them rather awful for standing in or even light walking.

These are super shoes, most people don't even train in this class of shoe only using them on race days.

Would suggest just about anything from Brooks or ASICS over these for walking long distances. If you are flat footed see the link in my signature for suggestions on that.

most of the ebay sizes are sold out, simon still has a lot

what's weird though is both ebay and simon dropship directly from adidas warehouse so it's the same stock

I think the marketing people just purposely only list so much inventory

which means maybe check back daily if your size is sold out on either place, you never know when someone is going to wakeup and edit the stock count

What is the target runner for these shoes then? I'm sure I've read that a lot of these supershoes are for faster than 7 min/mile pace. And that they don't last very long. It seems like a great price relative to comparable shoes, though.

I was at the adidas employee store in Portland last week and they had 10 different colorways of these and only a single pair of ultraboosts. They are a light shoe, but even the little plaque under the shoe describing the comfortability is the worst part of these new ones.

these are definitely racing shoes

doesn't have to be 7 minute mile pace but if you don't often run faster than 9 minute miles these would be wasteful

they are meant to take a couple minutes off a half-marathon or up to several minutes off a marathon

other than that the EVO might be a much better shoe for most runners and can be used as a daily trainer too
