No, you need to give it like 24 months of no activity to qualify. It flagged me for using a recent telephone number (used in 2025) so I changed everything (new email, tel#, used relatives address who lives close) and used a private browsing session. I might not have needed the alt address and browser, but I didn't want to have to fill everything out again. No need for referrals or coupon codes - the $15/50 options are live on the site for new members.(tho I suppose you can use them if you want)
Seems like they are being very strict about an older membership now. You'd likely have to use another address it seems. That's what flagging us.

Oh, interesting. I used my in-laws address (I know they don't have a Sams memb.). I went in and changed it back to my own addy as soon as I activated the membership and logged in, though I should probably note it in my 1Pass file that I used it and it may be connected now.

Sam's Club has some great products and this is a really good price for a membership. Totally worth it is if you live in a place there is no CostCo. Even worth it for some items which are better than CostCo.

However note that they do have some sort of control where they don't allow people to add new accounts with different email addresses or even phone numbers. I think they check it at an address or a card credit card level. I'm not sure. I tried using a BoFA offer earlier this year and they canceled my account (even when I made a $150+ purchase) the next day.
I used a different credit card and telephone number and it worked. Same address. Then, I just switched my old account to a temp number (Google Voice) and changed the new one to my actual number.

Also, you can create an account with your email "+" in Gmail, like "[email protected]" and you'll still rec'v the email at [email protected]. This is useful for tracking where your junk mail is coming from.

Also, Sam's Club has good cakes, and pizza pretzels. And bigger sodas. And cheaper frozen yogurt. There are some benefits. I prefer Costco.

Try a different telephone and credit card. Worked like a charm for me. (And use a Chrome Incognito, obviously, to create it)

Mine expires in one month I can cancel and use this? I thought it was for new members only it says
yes, 2 years back I did that... I went instore when only 1 month left, surprisingly, they refunded me half of my membership price...
Example, yearly membership price was $50, only 1 month left when I have requested for cancellation, they refunded me $25. Not sure if that was fault by associate, but this is what happened with me. You can go to store, and check how much you will get as refund if you can cancel it now. In that case, you can buy new membership(using new Email + new Phone Number) from this refunded amount.

I saw 40% chase promo, that should knock the standard membership to $9 with this deal, if you hold Chase card and targeted for the promo.
Would they stack?

I don't really see the value in Plus, the regular membership is just fine. I'm never up early enough for early shopping hours, and I never see anything on their website worth shipping to my house that I can't just go into the local store and buy without having to get $50 worth of it first for their slow shipping. And, they only give you that 2% cash back to redeem after your year has expired, and if you decide not to renew for another year, then they lock you out from redeeming that Sam's cash. There was a better deal with the $10 for a year of the regular membership a few months ago, but this is the next best deal, if you have a Chase bank card, and can get that cash back deal to work. Sam's Club may be a slightly evil version of Costco (they are Walmart, after all), but they do have more of a variety of things to buy than Costco does. Where Costco sticks to one kind of milk, or one kind of peanut butter, Sam's Club has a lot of different options. My local store had at least 8 different kinds of peanut butter the last time that I was in there. And, Sam's Club prices historically have been lower than Costco's prices. Even on mundane things like bagged salads. You can get a bagged salad at Sam's Club for like $2.38 for one of them, and Costco forces you to get a two pack for $6.99. Sometimes you don't want two big bagged salads rotting away in your fridge. Sometimes you just want one. Also, if you like candy, and junk food, and soda, or energy drinks. Sam's Club beats the pants off of Costco, not just with their prices, but with their selection. My mom had stomach surgery, and her doctor has her drinking protein drinks, instead of solid food right now, and the cost of protein drinks at Sam's Club is about half the price of what they are at Costco. Also, video game gift cards, and other gift cards, are always the cheapest at Sam's Club compared to Costco and other stores. Last year around Christmas they had a $100 Nintendo gift card for $82, and a $300 Disney Gift card for $250.
I always get Plus for one reason: tire prices.
I've got three drivers in my family and generally one of them needs new tires at some point in the year. When shopping tires, I always pricematch the Sam's Club Plus tire price including all the goodies you get with having a Plus account and I regularly get $500 off on a set of 4 tires vs. a regular Joe just coming in to get a set of tires.
This last year with the price of inflation, the tire shops finally indicated they wouldn't beat Sam's Club price (specifically with the Plus goodies) so I got the tire from Sam's themselves. What I found was that local tire shops are way more convienent then Sam's when it comes to scheduling and getting your tires replaced (I had to wait four hours after making my appointment time to finally get my car back). With that being said others have had a good experience getting their tires replaced at Sam's Club. I think moving forward I'll just stick with price matching.

This. Initially I resurrected an old account but it had the same number as my current account so it wouldn't take. I then made sure both the email and phone number where different and I was able to take advantage of this deal.
