Ordered this yesterday when it was marked down to $99 instead of the similar deal for the (2) 4" fans. I was able to contact Home Depot and have them refund the $10 difference. I used the fan today and found that it produced a good amount of airflow and, as the "whisper" moniker proclaims, it is very quiet. Thanks for posting this deal to alert me on the price drop; was pretty happy at $99, happier at $89.

Ah, man. I bought this at $99 too … like a shmuck. Settings 1 and 2 are quiet, but 3 not so much. Setting 1 is only enough oomph if it is sitting on the desk right in front of you. Setting 3 produces a GOOD amount of flow. Setting 2 is the sweet spot… gentle enough to be quiet but enough airflow to be felt across a small room or outside on the table in front of you.
Edit: I was happy enough with the purchase that i bought a second factory blemished at D T O for $32 tool only.

I have a slightly different model of fan but can use the batteries, seems like a decent deal. Plus with hurricane season (predicted slow or not), never a bad thing to have additional battery fans.

I bought and returned two of these because they had a high pitched whine on the low setting and also I consistent speed. It would surge constantly, which was super annoying.
