800 bucks gets a keurig and a whole lot of pods.
A whole lot of pods filled with border-line stale coffee that destroy the environment.

Yikes. You can also make a steak in a microwave. You wouldn't say its any good though.

Personally, I drink coffee most days. It should be a pleasant experience. A superautomatic like this is the perfect midpoint between taste and convenience.

Sure, a pour over or custom pull is a better espresso, but when I can pour in beans, push a button, and get my perfect americano in under 2 minutes, I'm very happy.

At $800 this is way cheaper than many other machines and should last years.

I was going to say that for $150 more you can get a much better auto in the Ninja AutoBarista Pro. I've had one for a few weeks and it's a keeper. I was doing manual espresso with a Flair 58 for years and the Ninja makes equivalent shots with far less work.

This or a daily premium cup of coffee for a year?

There something really wrong with your workflow if a superauto is making comparable shots to your manual shots

So, interesting fact: the energy used to keep a pot of coffee hot is often more than the energy to make kcups and so on. Less waste. More energy.
This is one at a time, but not worth it for me.

I've had supposedly amazing coffee, and i'll admit, it does taste better than a kcup I bought 24 months ago, but not a lot better. Not worth the effort better. Not $800 better.
