It will also not support Variable Refresh Rate or 4k above 60hz. 2.1 is mandatory. I just got a new OLED and my old receiver might as well be trash
But this is only if you are plugging INTO the soundbar, and then going back OUT to the TV, correct? If you are going into the TV with your device (PS5/XBX/whatever) and using eARC, I don't think the pass through is a factor. Is that correct?

yes. only caveat being you will lose some lossless audio formats this way (if you care about them) and your TV does not support them
Well, my Best Buy had one in "fair" condition in stock, so I took a chance on it. When I went to pick it up, I found that it had been the floor model, had no box, showed a good amount of physical wear to it, and had a shelf bracket still stuck to it that the employees weren't able to get off because the screw was stripped. Was a no-brainer to cancel the order.

Ordered one in "excellent" condition and that order was cancelled in about an hour. Purchased another in "good" condition and went to pick it up today. It was a floor model, with no boxes or packaging. It would be a generous stretch to even call it in "fair" condition. It had significant scratches all around the subwoofer and scuff marks on the soundbar. My 6 year old soundbar is in much better condition than what they were trying to sell. When I asked them to cancel, they asked me if I wanted to buy a new one at market price instead. What a waste of time.

I would have low balled them, they just want to get rid of it and have absolutely no financial interest in it.

I thought about that only later, hours after the fact, but they didn't offer or even hint at being willing to negotiate while I was there. The only "concession" the salesman made was that even without the surrounds, the main bar was still "awesome." But it was so beat up, and god knows how many hours it was on while on the floor, that I'm not sure I'd bit at even half the price.

Exact same experience with me at the Green Bay WI store. Sales associate stated they had new models come in and they ripped a bunch off the walls. Got there any the sub and satellites were MIA as well.
In my area its 396 fair condition. Unfortunately I already got q990c in my living room and 5.1.2 in my mancave
I think the 990C is probably superior anyway. That, and if your "fair" is in the kind of shape that some of the rest of ours have been in, you're better off without it. I'd pay like $200 for what I saw at my store.
