I've been watching this deal through the TS app, but basically every single tool is out of stock and unavailable for shipping (even tried multiple zip codes).

I've been watching also. Tools have been out of stock for over a year. Seems like a phase out.

My local TS appears to be phasing out selling Porter Cable tools altogether and had all their stock on clearance. I stopped by twice last week and the first time most PC were on a clearance rack. Second time all PC we on a clearance rack and a Skil 20/12v display was up with various tools on display and a locked cage underneath to hold stock. So looks like PC is being clearance out of stores and Skil coming in.

I got in early enough to get the jig saw, cut off saw, reciprocating saw, angle grinder, battery, and a charger for shipping. Well I hope I did. I got my order confirmation and all. I have had a Porter Cable Drill, Impact, and flash light forever so figured might as well add to it for those prices. Wish I could have found or gotten the higher torque impact with the 4 amp battery, but oh well.

Seems to be quite a bit at my store. Don't have any PC products/batteries. Convince me to buy a few tools😀

I wouldn't, other than tsc I hadn't seen them carried anywhere else. I for one don't need an orphan battery system.

Just use a battery adapter, that's what I am doing (Ridgid batteries).

I've got a drill and impact driver (looks like same set that's listed on their site). They're good, but there are some DeWalt deals on SD that are slightly more expensive, but probably a better deal overall. I'm considering an angle driver, but I already have 2 or 3 batterie to go with the tools.

PC batteries are identical to Black and Decker 20 v batteries except for a little plastic notch that you'd need to shave off.

Thanks! I was wondering about that. I just looked up the yooutube video about the modification. I have several B&D 20v tools, and multiple batteries. The old Craftsman interchanged with them, but they changed the design. I've never had a 1/4in impact, and they do have them in stock, locally.

Hmm... very tempting. I'm more interested in their corded tools. I already have Dewalt and Ryobi cordless. No need to buy into a battery eco-system that's being phased out.

The corded angle grinder, recip saw, and hammer drill are very tempting. Cheap throw around tools that you wouldn't mind your friends borrow.

Looks like they're all available for delivery in my area. Delivery comes out to $15 for all three tools.

My first tool set was brushed Porter Cables. (Drill, Impact, Recip. + flashlight)
They were great as a basic homeowner set. Installed many things in/around the house + the cars. Never had an issue.
Now... when I use my father's tools (DeWalt Brushless) I can absolutely tell the difference in quality and torque output etc.... but for something I use maybe 3-4 times a year... great investment.

Thanks so much for the Post and the very helpful comments. I'm going to head out to a nearby town that I have to go to anyway today and check out tractor supply and see if they have Porter-Cable equipment in stock on clearance.
