I did not know this was 3 years old. Thank you all for those posts. I need another pixel for a relative and got my Pixel 9a here on SD, Dec 2025, for $350 on Amazon. Looking to see another deal like that soon. Almost went for this one. Dodged a bullet. BTW, I have GrapheneOS loaded on my Pixel and after figuring out how to do my banking apps, it's a real keeper.

Do we know for sure it's a NEW phone? I see listings on eBay all the time that claim NEW/SEALED. But some of the reviews say otherwise.

I met up with an old friend last week, he still has an iPhone 7 and I was marveling at the small form factor (4.7 in. diagonal screen)! I hope mfrs will ditch this foldable trend and start going back down to just a regular touchscreen. I am very willing to trade off 1k of battery mAh for a 5.x in. screen for an Android.

I used to have the Galaxy Fold 4 and it just stopped working randomly one day, around two months after the warranty period ended. Now a rule of thumb with foldable phones is that insurance must be purchased alongside it. No ifs and buts, that's the price of a luxury phone now. If you buy a folding phone, I would plan for a $4-$7 per month policy to cover the phone in case it randomly stops working or accidental damage.

I'm generally anti-insurance because I think it's a scam, but with these type of fragile phones it's worth it I think.

I have had a pixel fold for a while, I upgraded from a 7a, and it has been an absolute joy using the pixel fold. the wide outer screen makes it feel natural to use the single screen so you don't always feel like you have to open it up. but once you do open it up, the tablet like real estate is a joy to use for multitasking or viewing content. I could not go back to a regular slab phone after using this ever, the crease is noticeable but does disappear after a while for me anyway I think it's still still a steal at $450 brand new The one huge negative going for the phone is it's lackluster gaming performance but I have many dedicated handhelds so it's not a problem I would also say none of the screens are the best in the business but the gigantic fold out screen looks gorgeous. sorry I drowned on. just wanted to give you all a good picture of what you will be dealing with.

To be fair, there's a bit of retro for retro's sake there with any of the physical button iPhones. My iPhone 12 mini is overall smaller than the iPhone 7 but with a larger (5.4") OLED screen and still supported by Apple. The 3rd gen (2022) model iPhone SE was basically a copy paste of the iPhone 7 but with modern support/guts, so no need to be jealous if you have the desire and are willing to accept an LCD screen (vs. OLED) or willing to lose the button design.

Then again I feel cornered with the 12 mini, as I desperately want to ditch the lightning connector but I don't care to own another full size iPhone (already owning an iPhone 15 as my work device).
