I initially read this as doorbell plus 4 cameras and was like: wow what a deal! Just the batteries cost half that. But then read more carefully and it's just one extra camera. Still a good deal but just… very different 😂

Local recording sucks anyways and slow and doesn't record great if motion detected with more than one camera

This is an intentional design. Technically it should be the other way around. Local storage should be faster compared to cloud. They do it just to push users towards subscription. Just cheap business tactics!

What a great reason to avoid buying blink (amazon) devices. Clearly reducing performance of a device to push for cloud based subscriptions.
Always use proper local storage when available. It isnt the cloud, its someone else's storage they let you pay to use.

luckily im grandfathered into free cloud with blink, got 8 cameras.

just paid 30 for the new doorbell model after selling the other one for $30 lol
wish I saw this would of taken the extra cam for $7
