Hmmm...Is this supposed to be the new Neo competitor? It's about $100 too expensive, and at these prices, that's 20% of the Neo's price for students, which is probably their target demographic. It's getting into M4 Air territory.

This is the upgraded version. Got one for the wife, looking forward to seeing it in person. It's a good half pound lighter than the neo, has a touchscreen which is an overall better screen.

single core perf is pretty impressive for a low end, low power(for Intel) non-Apple cpu

should be on par with the Apple A18 Pro but with a bit better multicore

but Dell is watering down the XPS branding for a budget, entry level laptop in an attempt to help sales.

The entry level/base model is $599(EDU) and comes with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage.
so you're paying $150 more for the 16GB RAM.

problem with the entry level model is 8GB RAM with windows 11... lol
install LTSC or do some major windows debloating and it might be "OK" barely.

If they had a 32GB RAM version for around $1k, businesses would be all over this.

This is nicer than the Neo in a lot of ways. Also some people don't really like Mac OS (though MS is working hard to enshittify Windows).
