Did some research on these. Apparently they are very prone to breaking even for planars. But punch well above their weight class

I've had these for over a year and they're amazing. I would recommend checking out the autoeq app website and EQing them as bass is a bit low in their sound signature. I did raise the freq and reduce the dip of the high shelf off the autoeq app PEQ, and it sounds better, the air's back.

And, ofc, these bleed sound both ways, it almost sounds like you're not wearing them. I love that for voice chat, though. I hate talking with closed backs or iems w/ no monitoring.

These are one of the best values in the headphone game right now. For the newbies, these have extra large earcups that sit around your ears, and they leak a lot of sound and let sound in so a quiet place where you cant disturb anyone else is best to use in. They arent too difficult to drive, it would be okay for apple computers, maybe pc, av receivers, of course a dac/amp will definitely make them sing. These are way better than the Sundara, one of hifimans most famous entry level planar headphones, and the price is right here on the XS. I got mine refurbished from hifiman, which is not as fresh as open box, and mine came in looking and smelling like new, looked like new pads too so open box should be near new condition. Awesome starter planar headphone, and probably most peoples end game headphone, its THAT GOOD.
