The generics are fine if you're trying to save money, but the quality can be hit or miss depending on the brand.

Philips makes it hard to compare the different brush heads to know which is best. One head's "10x plaque" isn't measured identically to another's "100% more stain removal". Really annoying.

Costco has good pricing on these replacement brush heads:
  • GC Gentle Clean Replacement (Plaque Removal + Gum Care)
  • A3 All-in-One (Soft Bristle, Plaque Removal, Whitening and Gum Care)
  • C3 Two-in-One (Plaque Removal and Whitening)

Does anyone know if the generics on Amazon are just as good? Or decent quality?

A3 is 6 pack and same price as 8 packs of the others, makes me think its better for that reason alone. I only use a3 now. Wish they sold that in store...

$6 more per 8 brush heads is 90% cheaper than a Costco membership if you don't have or want one anyway. 😁

Just you know, an implant costs about $5000 per tooth, hence I always spend a little more on brush heads

Plenty ADA seal of approval "knockoff" brushes/heads that will work just fine. Having said that, even brushing your teeth with the stiffest firmest hardest worst quality nylon silicone brush heads is far far better than NOT brushing your teeth at all.

Yep... I think their '10x, 20x' stuff is a lot of marketing baloney tbh... brush stiffness/shape seems more subjective than anything.

I've been using the C1 heads for years, they seemed to work really well for me. Softer bristles, and longer head so they seemed to clean more at a time and get the 'valleys' between teeth really well. I think the bristle 'peak' in the middle of the brush head helps in my case.

I recently cracked open one of these C3 heads - they're pretty stiff by comparison, the head's not quite as long, and there's no bristle peak in the middle. I feel like I have to push pretty hard to get it to clean between my teeth well, and it doesn't feel like as much is getting cleaned at any given time.

I think I might try the A3 heads from Costco since they're on sale (then again, A3 doesn't have the bristle 'peak' in the middle either...).

My $6 spinbrush has worked just fine.

I used to buy generics but they kept losing bristles so I've had quite a few loose ones in my mouth. Never had that happen with the official brand ones.
