This will just take a bit longer to master than wider boards, but should work fine. You should consider getting familiarized with the board some place with calm waters and then take it out to the Gulf

I'm in Seminole, yeap while I've not had this particular brand I've owned a couple of Serene Life branded ones which I'm sure are the same. These are great for along the shore but best in canals and all the springs that are a fun day trip. Amazon is good about taking a return if there's an issue with a seam or valve. I'd recommend a powered pump that plugs into your car, the hand pumps are not what you want to use. You'll also want a better paddle after a couple trips out, the included extendable ones are usually junky, uncomfortable and the connection always seems to end up in the way of my hand.

Ok...I just hope I can make it out to the John's Pass sandbar this weekend woot I'm up in the Pasco county area, but I figured it would be easier to paddle board from War Veterans park over to the sandbar instead of hauling my big boat all the way down there. Although, room for 12 people sounds like a lot more fun out there.

or use a dual chamber hand pump as they are much faster and easier, especially since most have 3 stages.

I bought two of SUP (different decal). Still going strong after 2 summers. This will be my third summer with them. The pump work great. Deflating the SUP isn't bad. At one point, I had 5 kids on it with me (ages 7, 8, 8, 9, and 11) and worked as normal. No sinking in the middle or anything like that.
