Anyway to renew at this price? Last year I think if you cancelled you could get this promo price again.
It didn't work for me on my desktop. My membership is now canceled. Hopefully, they will send offers to renew before November for $49!

Walmart has the best prices, but where I live, their customer service is awful.

Every year around thanksgiving Amex offers has $49 off Walmart plus membership. And if you try to cancel Walmart gives 50 to join. Did it last year for free. Not sure if same repeats this year.

Now I will have renewal for $29. This is a little long to explain but here it goes.

I have been following the thread hoping I could get the $49 deal again. I always tried with just my phone and never any luck after hitting the first cancel.
I figured they just won't do again. I have AARP membership. I think it was $9 a year. (You can join AARP membership as long as you are at least 18 years old)
AARP members benefit is getting Walmart+ for $58 annual.
Close enough so I signed up for that for auto renewal on the 23rd.
I saw the posts about using desktop so I got out a laptop I rarely use and tried there. Sure enough after hitting the first cancel button it gave me to advertisement for 50% off valid for 5 minutes with a countdown timer.
So I agreed (maybe if the 5 minutes lapses it gets better? No idea)
Next came up saying Walmart+ will renew on the 23rd for $29.
I thought maybe I signed up for something else. Then figured out what happened.
My $99 membership dropped to $58 with AARP and it showed it was set to renew at $58 on the 23rd.
I selected that 50% deal after the first cancel button
Now it says my plan will renew for $29 on the 23rd.
$29 being 50% of the AARP $58 rate!
Now thats a win!

Same. Paying for the Walmart membership? Doesn't sound right.

This was offered to me as I was about to cancel renewal in July. I have yet to pay more than $49 for this membership.

From my desktop, I tired canceling my Walmart+ membership. A 5 minute count down pop-up came up with the option to renew membership for the next year at $49 rate.
Worked on my phone, thanks!

I renewed for $49 through mobile browser (brave).
Mine is set to renew July 2.
Went to account, clicked walmart+ button at top, clicked cancel membership. Immidiately saw 5 minute timer, clicked redeem offer. My renewal date still shows July 2nd, but now there's '$49' displayed next to it. I assume it'll use my card on file.
Oh, then I received an email verifying it'll renew at $49.
Im impressed how easy they made it.
Worked for me! Before it said renewing for $99 on Jul 12. Now says renewing for $49.

haha just did this stupid easy, on desktop.

went to manage membership, say membership auto renews jan 2 2027

went to cancel (since that has no effect anyway except turn off auto renewal)

Got a the pop up offer, $49 for next annual renewal, clicked yes I want to accept it

It now has a note on the membership that my next annual renewal on Jan 2 2027 will be at $49, special offer

easy peasy.

so far almost every time ive gotten WM+ for 49 or some other deal thx to slickdeals (one year right after renewing at 98 I missed a 49 deal a few days later, so I chatted with CS and they just gave me a free extra 6 months for example, so 18 months for 98 that time). its worth 98 but at 49 its a stupid steal if like me you shop a lot at wal mart (not a lot of options near me anyway). As i said a million times, i worked out the gas discount alone works out to about 50/yr savings for me let alone the onepay card with 5% CB if you have wm+ (3% normally I think). getting 5% CB on my groceries and most of my purchases period between WM and Amazon is a pretty nice deal.

No problems for me in the past using virtual credit card for Walmart +
Thank you. I will probably try this method then because I want to get this Walmart+ deal as a gift. Which virtual credit card service did you use for it? I have never used one before but I have heard of them.

Tried it on the app. The offer didn't show up the first time I clicked cancel, but after backing out and trying again, it popped up on the second attempt. It's set to renew on July 10 for $49. Thanks!
