EufyCam C37 is a motion triggered solar battery camera kit that fits home security setups best when you want wireless convenience and HomeBase storage. The cameras have a long track record of working well for some setups, and the app and recent updates have been fine in several cases. The main limits are missed motion, especially with fast movement or cameras mounted too high, and solar charging can be finicky if panels get dirty or poorly positioned. HomeBase Mini also appears to be a budget tradeoff, with microSD support up to 1 TB and no hard drive option, making it a practical pick if those constraints fit.

I've had multiple eufy cameras. I was initially happy with them but eventually started to hate them. My eufy door bell camera frequently misses movements. The solar cameras that are 3 years old have all stopped working. If I charge them, they'll stay on for a month or 2. Even the solar cams miss movements. I have since moved to POE cams and they are amazing. I cannot in good conscience recommend eufy anymore.
Vijju, it's unfair to compare battery (even solar battery) cameras with POE powered cameras though. POE is the end-game for cameras. Solar battery cameras are a compromise for the sake of convenience and not having to run cable. Most cannot do continuous capture and so missing a fast moving event is not uncommon.

Did your 3 YO solar cameras stop working because the solar panel was no longer charging them or were their batteries running down too quickly like during days of gloomy weather?

Bought two Eufy flood camera's two years ago. They are now DOA, i'll pass on EUFY. Those weren't cheaper either, costs me 200 dollars each.

No support, pretty said to replace them with a newer model.

Updates to the app are abysmal. Your cameras will stop functioning. Support is clueless and you wind up being the guinea pig for them. You will spend hours doing their work and you WILL eventually give up. Terrible, terrible, terrible!!!!
3 years in with eufy. Have 3 smart locks, doorbell cam, 2 spotlight cams, and one regular camera. All tied together with Homebase 3. Zero issues whatsoever. Sounds like user error.

Polish the solar panels. They get glazed over and lose efficiency. This isn't a eufy thing, it's basically all consumer grade solar panels exposed to the elements.

I bought big into Eufy system a little over a year ago for my business. Every camera in high foot traffic died. Cameras in locations that don't see many people are working fine. So while they look like they're higher end than typical low priced cameras, they don't seem to be designed for anything other than home use.

I've had eufy cams for five years. Never had an update cause issues. Only problem I've ever had is that the cameras, which I have mounted just under my second story, don't always pick up movement. From what I've read, this is a known issue. I just haven't had time to lower them.
Agreed. I've had no issues in the past or with recent updates, I can't seem to get a solar panel positioned the right way to keep one of my cameras charged, that's about it.

Have a recommendation on what to polish with? Seems my solar path lights could use similar 😅
