They know so many people are charging friends/family to access their Plex servers so trying to get in on that cash stream.
I am surprised they don't just build in a sub-subscription system so they can get a little for each user's user.

instead of plex, it is much better to buy infuse pro (if you are in all Apple ecosystem !) and use tailscale to log into network. Works flawlessly and superior to plex
