Hoka is falling off for me, not happy with my latest Bondi and the Clifton 10 I just bought is probably going to be returned. Not as comfortable, and don't last long, not worth the premium price anymore

What's the hype with Hoka and On sneakers nowadays? Are they really worth like $100 a pair? I mean I'm wearing Nike and adidas on sale sneakers around $30 a pair, are these worth 3 times the price

I walk a lot for work. The Clifton 9s were great. The 10s are not

Which $30 Nike or Adidas model are you referring to? I'd be curious to compare the foam and cushioning stack of your shoes to, say, the Hoka Bondi 9 or Nike Vomero Plus, which are both max cushion models.

You are missing the point completely. The goal of these fleecers is to let you advertise to the community that you have made it in this world and you can pay $100+ for your shoes ;-). And that is part of the reason they force all platforms to have the same consistent high price - no escape.
I have the Amex platinum that lets me buy one overpriced stuff from Lulu per quarter . Personally, I like the $15 exercise shirts from Under Armor outlet a lot better than the $70 exercise shirt from Lulu - they can't even get the fit right - I have to move to the next size. But Lulu is trying to sell the same image - "I have made it in this world".

It is not Lulu if you want to show you made it. It is Gucci or something similar

I just wanted to switch shoes since Adidas arent as comfy anymore with them even mostly discontinuing their smartboost series in a lot of things, so was hoping hoka would be a better bet for just long walk comfort considering what I heard, not sure what other brands people say but I guess I have to look elsewhere

I wear Asics Nimbus for over 10 years now and the last two pairs quality is a lot worse and definitely not last as long. I was thinking about trying out Hoka but it seems quality of running shoes are just declining all together.

People who are happy with $30 shoes are not the same people who require a high quality running shoe, like Hoka & On, among other excellent brands. And to the platinum Amex bragger.... no, dude, no. YOU are missing the point. WE are actual competitive athletes, & we want the lightest & best running shoe, not a cheap pair of walking around town shoes. Get off the couch & join us.

There is no comparison. Those $30 shoes are not going to hold up if an athlete wears them for 30-100 miles of weekly training, & 13.1 to 100+ mile races. IYKYK.
