Applebee's would have to be in the rest of North America and South America. Then again, many countries do follow the U.S.'s profit driven model over quality.
It would not be wrong to apply this to, and I write, McDonald's. There are McDonald's in the rest of the countries that make up both continents of America (Americas), which make up America. Then again, this is the country we are writing about, not a business.
