Ah IS the amount a battery can store & deliver, but that is not the same as power (that can deliver can vary widely between batteries). A 5ah PS and a basic 5ah battery are both 5ah total, but if the PS delivers that 5ah more quickly resulting in more power. Some of the battery techs can deliver more amperage (not to be confused with amp hours).
You won't see a difference in these batteries when using them with a flashlight or a small drill/impact driver but you'll notice you're able to do work a bit faster with something like a circular saw that can draw much more current from the battery.
Think of it as having 2 5gal buckets filled with water, the 5 gal of water is your ah. You drill a 1/2" hole into one and the other you just dump it out, these holes (1/2" in one and the top of the bucket in the secod) are relative to the current draw. Power is relative to how fast the water is depleted in each.
Battery tech is lithium vs lithium.
How it's packaged is the difference.
The 18650 and 21700 are tried and true batteries that offers excellent mechanical stability, cost-effectiveness, and high durability.

No, but I can't explain it any better than I've already done here on SD...
I think you're still confusing work & power, work well be about the same for both batteries but not power.
