This is not a good product. It will not protect you from anything. Norton and McAfee are both scams. Please do yourselves a favor and find a better solution. Sale or no sale, this is not what you want.

Serious security products are primarily aimed at corporate environments, such as SentinelOne, Huntress, and others. The old style products such as Avast, Bitwarden, ESET, etc. all fail miserably when actually put to the test. We had a client with ESET who got HARD and everything was encrypted and lost. They didn't want us to do security for them until after that incident - now they're in much better shape with a proper security solution.
I'm not sure what SentinelOne or Huntress offer for home users, but the price is minimal for corporate clients ($5 per device per month or less) so I hope something is available for home users.
Norton, McAfee, etc can't sell their products on merit, so they pay Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc. to pre-load them and try to scam people into paying. Norton will never do anything productive for you, and honestly the built-in Windows Defender does a better job.
