Been using this the past 2 years and the novelty wears off fast when you realize you gotta do an extra step and flip it open every time you wanna do something normal.

The crease is annoying because it distorts text and images everytime you scroll past it. If you hated curved screen phones now imagine the curve in the smack dab middle

Google pays $280 for a trade-in. If anyone's thinking to buy a pixel

Only way I would ever buy a refurbished Samsung would be directly from Samsung after they've given it a new battery & made it totally "like new"

Seems like a great deal. What's the catch? There must be one at this price.

The catch is that those are a disposable piece of hardware that survives one year. So chances are they will break soon. I had two of previous models. Now I do like those things. Made me cut cellphone use.

Aside from the phone issues itself, "refurbished" can mean a lot of different things. It could be a display model, have a replaced battery, repaired screen, etc., so honestly it's probably luck of the draw. I bought a refurbed Galaxy Watch on eBay from a different seller that has OLED burn in, but its very slight and not too obvious. This is a massive seller so they probably get these in crazy bulk amounts, so I'd assume they can afford to undercut other sellers.

the catch is the screen and the battery. Likely they did not put new batteries in. and screens are good for about a year before they had problems under normal use. Probably still a good phone.

dont buy a folding phone that is already beat up. the screens already do not last that long, give it a few dents and you are guaranteeing a replacement soo. however, it does come with a 1yrs allstate warranty. so at least you get 1 yr worth of phone for $200, if you are ok with that

The catch is, it may had water damage and repaired. Water damaged phone will not get any trade in value, unless the trade in program accepts any condition.

I've read on forums that the screen "catches" sometimes while opening or closing which can cause it to crack.

This is mostly true. My Flip 5 lasted a little over one years before the the protective layer of the main screen started to bubble up and before year 2, the screen and digitizer both failed.

I got an "Excellent" condition Flip 5 six months ago, and the battery life is terrible. Too bad because I love the phone.
