I own this exact scooter. It's really heavy. It max speed is 20mph. Smooth as heck. The build quality is excellent. In my experience NIU makes the best quality scooter, but I am not sure I would recommend this one due its lack of portability. Like I said, heavy and bulky, but super solid. My daughter has 100p and it has been excellent as well.

Front suspension is far more important for commuter scooter. Rear tubeless tires absorb enough of the rear wheel shock.

This is anecdotal from a couple friends. True real world mileage on a charge is half the manufacturers claim, going uphill, stopping, starting, speed. That would make it on this unit, 15 total miles, 7.5 miles each way. Probably not too bad for a run to the park or store and back.

I've had the 100p for going on 2 years next black friday. I use it for a 2-3 minute ride twice or three times a week from work to the garage (I get dropped off in the morning). I think it has a good balance of power/battery/portability/build. App works well enough but never tracked mileage; I was too lazy to call it in but didn't really care much about it.

I'm 235lbs but usually have a 10lb backpack when riding. I hit 17mph (sees a glimpse of 18mph) on my 100p on a flat surface which is what it's rated for so I can believe that the 300p might be able to reach 20mph. I never tested the battery/distance on my scooter so can't talk on that but will likely vary on cargo weight, road surface and angles.

Weight is advertised at 46 pounds, which I think is a little below average for this power and battery level. Lighter-weight scooters like the NIU 100P are good for people who don't mind shorter range and less hill climbing ability.

Is the only difference of the 100F and 100P the folding handle? Are these significantly better than the $100-$130 ones on AliExpress?

I am looking for one with a suspension so this does fit the bill but the 100F/100P is around $260 so $100 more than the generic ones with suspension, so I'm trying to figure out if it is worth the extra $$$. Thanks

Personally, I don't trust anything battery powered (especially more powerful batteries) from AliExpress.

Agreed, if they aren't UL certified you don't want to take the risk of your house burning down when it's charging.

10.5" tires should be pretty stable at higher speeds, not that this scooter goes that fast... If they're saying the range is 30 miles then real world will be more like 20 miles not accounting for hills. But considering the lack of rear suspension and the low clearance on this, I definitely wouldn't call it "all terrain".

For cities with unpredictable road conditions (potholes), are these generally safe? Considering scooters over bicycles for commutes for portability and avoiding sweat stains
