The camera feature can be nice, but there's no reason to get this specific camera to take advantage of it. Just use whatever 1080p webcam you were using for Zoom calls during the pandemic. You can find them for $10 on Amazon.
Mario Kart World has a fun feature for local multiplayer where it shows the face of the person racing in a bubble above the car. Star Fox will have a feature where it turns you into a furry v-tuber for GameChat.
GameChat itself is pretty meh. It does do a good job of isolating voices (use the Switch 2's microphone, not the one on your camera). The trouble is that no one takes the trouble to set up video chat. When I'm playing a game, I typically want to play the game, not video chat. It would be good for multiplayer online with friends or family, but I don't really do that much.
