I got excited until I saw these are all 3rd party sellers, so your warranty is void. One of which has 100% feedback but the majority of their recent feedback is deleted 1 star ratings of people complaining they got used products sold as new...

I sold my Neo for around this price. I wish there were deals on Neo 2. The Neo 1 is a little flakey. It has hit stuff while following me, sometimes it gets lost while tracking, the video quality is also quite bad. But it's fun for a toy. Just don't expect to get any quality video from this...and don't be surprised if it flies away or crashes into a tree at some point lol

Alright, how well does this work on a phone then as it's controller free?
Never used one, and can't imagine how well it works without the sticks and the actual tactile buttons.
Am I overthinking it? Feedback? Thanks.

It's okay. It's more of a selfie drone. It has some pre-programmed flight paths for video. And you can pull it out of a backpack and have it in the air filming in 30 seconds. I ended up getting the remote because the phone controls are a little clunky and the range when using the phone isn't great. It's a fun drone for what it is from my perspective - mainly just taking selfie shots.

Once you get the remote it really unlocks the potential as a fun starter drone. The range is surprisingly good but the battery only lasts around 15 mins. You have to charge the battery while docked on the drone unfortunately. I think the video quality is perfectly good well beyond the low cost.

it doesn't matter who you buy the drone from or where you buy it, all Americans are going to have to get used to flying their DJI drones without full warranty support from DJI. There nowhere in the world to buy one and get a clear warranty from DJI in the US; that's gone. It's not time to start thinking about insurance, credit card warranty, 3rd party plans, and similar. It's not the end of the world since most DJI drones are well made and largely free of manufacturers defects. Your warranty is not void, you just won't be able to easily make a claim with DJI due to the current circumstances.

Isn't there a DJI support center in California and in Texas? I was told you can purchase warranty through DJI directly, I haven't verified this specifically.
I do agree that 3rd party plans like Asurion or CC insurance may help.

Everything new going forward between DJI and a US resident is currently suspended indefinitely.

I agree with you. I think the drone out of the box is a fun selfie drone, but adding the remote absolutley makes it a much more fun beginner drone.

I prefer the DJI Mini 4K if you want a drone with a remote, the range is longer, the battery life is better, and the camera quality is higher. I do wish there was a discount on the DJI Neo 2 however, as the gesture control is pretty cool.
