Any opinions from drone fans? I don't need one or anything but am considering getting one for vacations (my gf works for cruise companies) and I'm about to move to waterfront apartment so I thought it might be cool to fly it over the ocean right from my balcony. Screen on the remote is a must for me.

I'm not a drone expert, but flying over water requires experience, specialized equipment (such as floating landing gear), and the knowledge to operate the drone safely, especially when dealing with strong coastal winds. Drone object avoidance usually gets confused by the reflection from water so it won't work as well when flying over the land. Not to mention landing on a moving vehicle can be very challenging, as the smart return to home feature these drones offer are usually based on a fixed coordinates using GNSS.
Generally speaking larger drones will be more stable than mini ones.

Super helpful reply, thank you. I meant more for using when we're docked at destinations or just flying out from my balcony, but there are great insights.

Ive own this moddle for about 2 years now , if you fly it over water make sure to put it in sport mode and you should be fine , also don't fly it too low
