This is high performance quartz; and the chrono moves at 4Hz. Being a space watch, it's built to be as accurate as possible, only slipping +/- 10 seconds per year.

So yeah, it's quartz, but it's high-end quartz.

Great price for a historic watch Ive wanted. Got it ordered with 7% back for no rush shipping making it around $252. Plus using $160 in Amazon credit card credit back making it even cheaper on paper if the wife sees it. 😃💸

Glad I was able to help a brother out. Like you, I've had my eye on it for some time with my love for space exploration.

I told myself I was done buying chronos... but couldn't pass on this for $252. This is an insane price.

No other quartz compares at this price point. The only more accurate watches will be the ones that sync to an atomic clock or smartphone. This beats 8 times faster than traditional quartz, with a sweeping seconds hand, and a 1/10th second chrono seconds hand. If this were the 43.5mm I would be in for one, but I already have the blue/white version in 43.5mm and prefer that size.
I was hoping on this price for a Super Seville, the eBay refurbished deal sold out too fast.

Be aware that even if you can, the pinhole positioning on the lugs is further out on the strap variant of the Lunar Pilot than on the variant that comes with braclet; so you will have a gap if you buy the standard Bulova Lunar Pilot braclet for this watch.

Damn, I already have a Lunar Pilot, the Timascus Edition, but this price is too good.
Attention if you don't know this watch, tho: it's huge, 45mm. Not for every wrist.
