That's the regular Shin ramyun "red". The black is a more premium ramen. It is not the same item at Costco.
That said, I usually just get the cheaper red and add an egg and some frozen veggies to it for a healthier more filling meal.
Costco has the Black cup version but they don't often carry it. Whenever they do, I will stock it up

This beats the hell out of the, 4 for $1 Nissin ramen, that was one of the few brands that were available, back in my college days.

Just learned there's a black and gold version. The black is "beef bone broth" and the gold is "chicken broth".

I have always just had the red. I often add a beef bullion cube to mine and sometimes cheese or egg or frozen meatballs. I decided to look at ingredients how much this black has of extra beef. Don't look if you are set on it lol. The red also has less than 2% of beef same as this. 😂
I lived in korea and added egg, cheese and beef from bbq skewers is common and delicious. Thin sliced like cheese streak meat.

It's a great deal! There is an excellent YouTube video featuring a Michelin Star chef demonstrating how to combine Shin Ramen with Chapagetti. He has named the dish "Shingetti." It's a fantastic recipe! You can find the video titled "How a Hungry Michelin Star Chef Makes Instant Ramen After Work!" on YouTube.

I personally prefer this one than the cup version as the noodles on this one are firmer. I guess they need to change the noodles in the cup version which make them soggy

Awesome. One of my top 5 ramen/raymen options.
The people asking "why Nongshim Shin Ramyun Black over Maruchan Beef Flavor, which is cheaper?" are effectively asking "why a Chipotle taco over a Jack-in-the-Box taco, which is cheaper?" Quality and ingredients.

Costco price
If you are stating you can get Shin Black or Shin Gold at Costo at this price, you are incorrect.
You may be thinking of the Shin Red, which is their cheaper spicier variant that's available at most Costco warehouses.

The mushrooms in the Black cup version are kinda rancid, or just me? I always get the bag version for this reason.
