Nongshim Shin Ramyun Black and Gold are the premium Shin bags, with richer broth and firmer noodles than the cup version. Black is described as beef bone broth with a more robust, less spicy flavor, while Gold is chicken flavored and also gets praise for taste. The packs include three seasoning packets, and the noodles are often dressed up with egg, cheese, or vegetables for a fuller meal. The main caution is price and shrinkflation, since the deal is compared against cheaper Shin Red and Costco pricing, and the coupon does not always appear.

The black is much better than the regular red; it has 3 packages: vegetable, bone broth, and seasoning.
Mix in an egg and it's very close to the ramen at the restaurant (minus the meat).

I wish they would make a flavor that isn't hot (or sweet). I love the texture and chewiness of Korean noodles but I have yet to find one that isn't hot or sweet. Even their Mild ones are hot. I guess that's how you'd describe foods if you're raised on kimchi from infancy.

You can find non spicy versions at most Korean supermarkets made especially for Americans. And no, infants are breast fed in Korea.

Not to get too off topic, but it's pretty well documented that exposure to spicy flavors in breast milk does build a baby's tolerance and acceptance of spicy foods as they develop. The "heat" of the capsaicin doesn't transfer to breast milk, but babies do more learn to more easily tolerate spicy food and to eventually enjoy the flavor profiles, which they're introduced to from birth.

I must be out of touch... how is this a front page deal for ramen? Costco has the red label ramen 18 pack on sale for $13.99, in store price
Not the same. Shin Black Label with Bone Broth has been very high since Covid.
