You actually have to walk 1000 miles per day or they force you to buy a new pair

So, if I walk 10 miles per day these boots will last 100 days?

The quality has dropped tremendously with Wolverine. At this price point for Goodyear welt, Thursday boots are a much better value.

Man I hate to hear that. I've had a bunch of their boots over the years and they were awful to break in but bulletproof after that. I'm an iron ranger guy now because I hate being comfortable.

Another great USA made boot that looks similar is the Danner Bull Run. I have a pair of their pull-on steel toes that are amazing. The profile doesn't look like a steel toe at all if you're trying to maintain style and PPE compliance.

Watch Rose Anvil on YouTube where he cuts them apart to inspect how well they are actually made.

Break in is essential inherent to any leather which will last.

Being uncomfortable is not part of "break-in". Most people wear footwear that is too small and it is unhealthy. Comfort should be priority number one.

Also, Iron Rangers look absolutely ridiculous. I owned a few pair when I went through my little mid-life crisis phase.

I do not recommend these. I chewed holes through the sole near the ball of my foot after 8 months of wear. I'm a big/heavy guy, but I have a desk job. I also have the Revival Work Boot and it is nowhere near this level of wear. I'm not sure why I purchased the more premium boot when the cheap boot held up substantially better.

I just googled iron rangers and realized that most Red Wing boots I've seen have been IRs, explaining why I've never looked into buying RWs. That angled shaft does look kind of silly, but what makes you think the boots look ridiculous?
