The breed specific kibbles have different shapes to promote better chewing.
I've had 6 cocker spaniels. They all tended to just inhale the smaller kibbles without chewing them. Even the gumball size ones.
The Royal Canin variety for Cocker Spaniels is shaped like a cashew. My dog Popper he loves the Royal Canin Puppy which is small little triangles. I bought the adult and let him try some of it now that he is 6 months old and I could actually hear him chewing it.
The only way I can afford this brand is when it is on sale for $2 a pound with a subscribe and sale deal.

Just as a heads up, they need to be on puppy food until they're fully mature, around 2 years old. I get the Great Dane one for my dogs because the kibbles are enormous - about the size of a golf ball - and my dogs actually chew it. I mostly give it to my dogs as enrichment.
