Dosing on this is very low. 15% of daily magnesium or 60mg per serving-> 30mg of magnesium per pill.

I personally go with Qunol which is 100% magnesium or 420mg per serving -> 210mg per pill -> Qunol is 7x more magnesium with 180 capsules versus 120. Unless you need a lower dose, Id go Qunol. From my research, it's one of the most cost effective.

Any side effects when you started? Did you start at a lower dose?

-I used Doctor's Best (popular brand) for some time and found Qunol to just be a cheaper, better option.
-Only side effects I've ever had are some headaches and diarrhea if I take too much.
-I never used a lower dose as magnesium is rather easy to deal with. Doctor's Best is something like 20% per tablet I think.
-Magnesium is a relaxant aka a downer, so I take it usually later in the day after a workout or before bed.

Not complaining about the deal by the way, just think there are much more cost effective options.

I just asked because I'm planning to try magnesium myself. Thanks!
