You will be hard pressed to find a 2026 launched modern day laptop with 32 GB of faster DDR5 RAM, 1 TB fast gen 4 SSD, 16" touchscreen with 350 nits brightness, modern Intel Lunar lake processor, Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 at this price of $899 in today's market where 32 GB of the faster DDR5 RAM is worth 520$ itself (used to be 1/4th the price at 130$ a year earlier) - no thanks to the AI boom
PC World Review of this laptop [pcworld.com]
For people concerned about Acer not being that well known, Acer quality has improved over the years and this 16 AI model is well built. It has aluminum top and bottom panels (not all plastic, keyboard base is plastic but has enough rigidity per reviews). The hinge is well built per the reviews. Also see the Amazon reviews of the corresponding SnapDragon unit [amazon.com] (different processor, same body and build) and it has 4.3*/5 out of 164 Amazon reviews - I considered that in my purchase also. I am buying this for my nephew for a CS 4 year course, so I weighed a lot of factors (this and the PC world review [pcworld.com], and the Video review [youtube.com]- video review is on snapdragon but build quality translates to this also)

Further the reviews, especially PC world and CNET reviews of this unit are good. And people say that Acer has become better over time. Yes this unit is not a premium level unit, that I agree but at the same time, it is very functional
Also, I find Amazon has the most unbiased reviews, and since this unit with Intel Ultra 9 is newer, it does not have many reviews. But from a build quality standpoint, see the reviews of the corresponding SnapDragon unit [amazon.com] (different processor, same body and build) and it has 4.3*/5 out of 164 reviews - I considered that in my purchase also.
