Get a complimentary Apple TV+ subscription for 1 year when you activate by December 31, 2026.
If you have an active Apple TV+ subscription it will automatically pause during your free year and then start back up after 12 months. I have one and only needed to click one button in the Chase app to activate. Super simple. Thank you to stuff4dave for dropping this tip in a comment on another streaming thread.

Chase just added a new benefit of $100 hotel credit when booking through Chase Travel. And you also get TSA precheck paid for every 4 years. I think it's worth the $95 AF for the transfer partners. But if you do decide to close, switch to Freedom or Freedom Unlimited
that has been there but it was $50. they just increased it Smilie

Good call, it's not worth $95 to have another year of account being opened. Also, you can't just cut up your cards and not use them as was suggested above. I mean, you can, but it's pointless because most card companies will automatically close your card if you don't put a purchase on it after so many months. I want to say about 6 months. I get the "idea" of extending your length of credit history. Maybe cut them up and you extended it 6 more months, lol.

Personally, I like the peace of mind of closing an account if I'm not planning to review the statement every month.
$100 hotel credit, +$150 credit for global entry/TSA precheck. If you book once through their portal I think the $95 AF is worth it. The appletv is a bonus. Unfortunate that they stripped the hyatt transfer ratio tho.

Exactly. It was $50. Now it's $100. That with TSA Precheck and transfer partners it's worth keeping open. Stinks about Hyatt devaluation though

Sapphire Reserve basically doubled in price (to like $800) for no real reason, so seems to be going around with Chase.

For those that have done this, do you get a code to use/activate later or do you need activate right away. Does it seem like the benefit continues if you close your account?

(BTW, on that last part, I believe the best practice is to try to move the available credit limit to another card, new or existing...often with no/lower fees)
You don't get a code, you just click a button and sync your Apple ID with your CSP account and that's it. Not sure what happens if you close your card.

I just converted mine into another Freedom card. The Apple TV+ benefit stopped later the same day

Never close credit. If you're worried about use, cut up your card, or put it in a safe, or lock the card. But don't close the account.

I wanted to get rid of my csp too. I understand not closing the account but I don't want to pay the $95AF anymore. What about a product change?

"Never" is a strong word there. There are plenty of times to close a card. Maybe advise looking into a downgrade. It is you have other longer held cards just close it. Look into it a little before taking blanket advice and it's not that big a deal in most cases

Anyone product change from Reserve to Preferred and get this benefit? My renewal is up soon and I am willing to downgrade for an extra year of apple stuff for $95.

Also, I've had a credit card close my account from inactivity. Albeit, it was a no-annual fee card but it happens.

I clicked-through without thinking.

I had a current annual subscription that ends Dec 24, 2026.

In Apple TV -> Settings -> Subscriptions, it now says Managed by Chase plan and ... that's it.

When the Chase plan is ended, will I get the remainder? Will I be refunded?

I have not seen a refund on my Chase card.

Good deal. Was NOT easy to find. Could not locate on the website. Used the app and found it buried down a level or three.
