What sucks is Amazon had the m5 version this morning for 899. They have raising the price through the day.

i searched back a few months and saw a couple better deals, but those were clearance deals at select Costco and Fred Meyer B&M locations. so deals have been pretty few and far between.

It is okay. I bought my m4 in December for 699. That was max I was willing to spend for m4. But it is solid. I mainly wanted it for the OLED 120hz. Otherwise technically an air is all I need.

Note that the iPad RAM is based on the storage. The lower <512GB tier comes with 8GB in the m4 as opposed to 16GB for 1TB+. In the M5 it's 12GB and 16GB divided on the same line.

This really matters on the m4 as the lower tier won't run the best local models in iOS 27.
