If you want local storage and not have to rely on subscription you will need the sync module 2 or XR which is an additional purchase. Just FYI.

the sync model has an SD Card which can save your data, and it's not on the doorbell, which's good because they cannot easily be stolen.

The sync modules come in the package didn't have SD card slot and won't able to store data locally.
