Great price, but I personally prefer the KB model since it has a hi/lo switch for the hot plate's temperature setting.

No. The models look almost the same, but the KB has a switch on the filter holder for full vs half pot, so only the KB offers a hot plate temperature control switch. I like my coffee hot, so the KB makes that easier. Coffee from their other models needs a bit of microwaving after pouring into a cup. Just my preference.
