Bought one of these at the same price last week. Works just fine. From what I can't gather the benefits of a metal case are threefold.

It will dissipate heat better. In any temperate climate I wouldn't worry about that too much. Use judgement.

It and might ground better and cause less damage in the event of a surge. This is possible, but I'm not sure I'd bank on it.

Metal shields interference. A legitimate concern, but probably not a huge issue for a small home network. To solve this, you'd want not just a shielded switch, but also cables.

Heat dissipates better for metal according to google. If this is for light use it's not bad but if it's for a lot of traffic I'd worry about this thing melting.

I wouldn't think it would melt. If you lack AC or are putting this in an attic or something you may want an upgrade, but for a good majority of home networks this is probably fine.
