I know it not brushless but these have there place in to the power tool ecosystem. Great lightweight setup for homeowner or light duty commercial applications. Not a daily driver set but you already know that if it's not XR.

Super old models in this kit and old 1.5ah batteries. Spend a little more and get the brushless with the 2ah at least.

I would not recommend spending the money on this. The Similar kit for $169 is a better value with the brushless tools and 2ah batteries. DCK227D2

This is an old generation one cordless drill. People always asking why Dewalt still makes it and the answer is that it is still a popular selling tool for them. Yes, definitely hold off for a newer model Dewalt Drill and watch the sales on Slick Deals. You should be able to pickup brushless compact drill and impact and (2) 2.0 batteries for this price or perhaps slightly higher.
