How likely is it there are slots to add ram vs having to replace what is there?

Also, how would you compare it to this that has better CPU, twice the RAM and twice the storage for $450 more?

I know that this intel core ultra is better specs than a cyber power with ryzen 7 8700f with 5060 ti 16vram and 32gb ddr5 ram, but I was wondering which has better options for upgrades. It seems this intel core ultra is fast from the start but are the upgrade paths limited? My idea is to buy a desktop pc and upgrade as I go from here on out. Would you recommend the ryzen or this ultra pc for keeping up with gaming for at least 5-7 years?

Not sure what CyberPowerPC you are looking at and what price it is, but I guarantee you are looking at it wrong. Both the 8700F and the 5060 Ti are significantly slower than the CPU and the GPU here. So you'd be wasting money on inferior hardware ALREADY knowing that you will have to spend more to make up the gap in the future. Unless that PC is half the price of this one, it'll cost you more in the long run. And you'll be missing out on better performance until you do upgrade.

It looks like the deal is still available, so here's some information for anybody still considering this. I bought this PC and it arrived today. I don't know if all these PCs have the same parts inside or if CyberPower just uses whatever parts it has available at the moment, but this is what is inside the PC I received:

RTX 5070 12GB: Gigabyte

16GB RAM: single 16GB stick of ADATA/XPG 5600MT/s with Micron DRAM

1TB SSD: Team TM8FGM001T

Motherboard: Gigabyte B860M DS3H WIFI6E

Power Supply: no labels visible without removing it, so I don't know the manufacturer or the watts

I bought this CyberPower PC and the PC I received has 4 RAM slots with just 1 slot filled with the single 16GB RAM stick. The motherboard is the Gigabyte B860M DS3H WIFI6E. I don't know if all these CyberPower PCs have the same parts inside.

I asked CyberPower support for details about motherboard and PSU, and while they didn't give a lot of detail:

1. B860 motherboard
2. 850W PSU
I bought this CyberPower PC and I posted some details about the parts inside the PC I received.

Was wondering if it was a single stick of RAM, good for future upgrades I guess, but not optimal if you plan to stick with 16GB for awhile. I wish they gave more PSU information on the Walmart page, feels like that should be mandatory. Thanks for taking the time to give some extra details.

when is the best time to buy a gaming rig like this? is it black friday/cyber monday, after xmas for excess inventory or just randomly throughout the year?
When you have the need for one at the price you want. AI is eating up all the ram and ssd supply and prices on those items are expected to continue to go up through 2028. Don't wait if you see something you want. They have already gone up hundreds of percent.

I've checked this a few times since 7/2 and the price has varied from $2,000 to today (7/7/26) of $1699.00 in cart and ready to ship. Haven't been able to replicate $1,349.00 once. I could resell these in my local facebook marketplace for a big profit at the listed deal price.

Good price given the ram and storage shortages.

Picked one up on 7/5 for $1349 ($1430 with tax). Was going to recommend this to (gamer) co-workers but today the price shows as $1699 base.

Not sure they'll bring back the "strikethrough savings" but that's what made it discounted originally if it helps anyone:
