I had to leave Mint early because my phone kept going to Emergency Service Only randomly throughout the day even though my signal was more than good

If you are interested in this deal, might as well spend $20 more for a phone added. Get the a17 5g with the year of unlimited for $200. Wait 60 days to unlock and sell or keep it. https://www.mintmobile.com/device.../12142641/
Should I use the phone with active plan ? Or just use the plan in another phone?

For the phone to 'unlock' after 60 days must be in use on paid service for 60 days, so for at least 60 days, you'd need to use it, then you can switch the sim to any other phone once you confirm the Mint phone has unlocked.

It's $200 for the plan and the phone if you want the phone, and 'luke warm' LOL. As if you have anything better to share?

have you read the thread, you've got a ton of people on TMO who were just notified of a price increase of $20-30 a month it sounds like and are looking to jump shitp.

To be safe I would use the phone with the plan for 60 days until it unlocks. Maybe you could do it the way you were talking about but I'm not sure.

I don't know if anyone cares about this, but I just discovered that my Apple Watch (cellular model) wouldn't work on Mint (as a standalone - i.e. using cellular data for calls, not Wi-Fi) as Mint apparently doesn't have an integrated wearables plan. You'd have to go to another provider like Visible to get a separate plan for the watch, which I assume would be forced to use a separate phone number of its own. Kinda inconvenient.

I'm also curious - do Mint customers just pay the $15/month and that's it? My AT&T 55+ plan has all these little regulatory fees up the wazoo that add cost. Don't Mint customers have to pay those as well?

Why forced out? I haven't had a price increase to an old grandfathered unlimited plan. It's still $185/mo. for 6 lines though. The biggest reason for staying has been the perks like free Netflix and Hulu.
You're just getting slow played my guy, T-mo slow played everyone, long term bait and switch.

Also why does everyone want to the Samsung A17 for $20? Why not A16 for $1? I thought that is a better deal?

Well, the fact that it is sold out might be the reason why.

If you have cricket you have to make sure they give you NUC Network Unlock code as it stopped me from switching to Mint months ago. ANd the NUC is separate from your phone being unlocked. Cricket was a major pain they would nto do it and the support are mostly clueless so i wound up buying new phone also. an A42 off ebay for $132 now about $117 new. Kudos have a great July 4th w/e!

The mint network (T-Mobile) is completely overwhelmed in my area of central California due to too many users here for the summer tourism rush. My mom's phone frequently goes right to voicemail for hours at a time even though her phone is on and can make outgoing calls. I guess that's the price for using a discount virtual operator in a busy place during a busy time of year, but it is frustrating also.

Well, if you want a decent deal on a phone, you can get the US Mobile annual Starter plan for $199 (or Premium for $299) and get a Pixel 10 for $250. I just posted that deal. But it doesn't go live until tomorrow 11AM ET

I've been on t-mobile for about 20 years or so. They just sent a notification of a $6 per line rate increase.
