Anything specific that makes this better than all of the inexpensive ones on Amazon? We have one we got 4 or 5 years ago for less than $75, and have not had any issues with it, but never got any magnificent results with it either.

Ive been wondering the same thing. They all do the same thing why is this one any better.

The main difference I noticed is that the Theragun is heavier and has a greater range of motion, which makes it easier to keep steady during use. I previously owned both heavy and lightweight budget massage guns, and I was much more satisfied with the heavier one.
After using three different massage guns, I'd choose a heavier model regardless of the brand. I currently own a Theragun, and I've been very happy with it.
