Anything specific that makes this better than all of the inexpensive ones on Amazon? We have one we got 4 or 5 years ago for less than $75, and have not had any issues with it, but never got any magnificent results with it either.

Ive been wondering the same thing. They all do the same thing why is this one any better.

The main difference I noticed is that the Theragun is heavier and has a greater range of motion, which makes it easier to keep steady during use. I previously owned both heavy and lightweight budget massage guns, and I was much more satisfied with the heavier one.
After using three different massage guns, I'd choose a heavier model regardless of the brand. I currently own a Theragun, and I've been very happy with it.
As someone who owns 6 massage guns (I am a massage therapist), I can say that Theraguns are much stronger than the other cheap massage guns.
Now this is important- just because they are stronger, it doesn't mean they are necessarily better FOR you. Some areas such as your shoulders and elbows, you might actually need something lighter. Even at its lightest setting, the big guns are too much for a lot of sensitive spots. However, for quads and hamstrings, the cheap ones are simply not powerful enough to penetrate your muscles.
As for the 6th gen ... I mean, they have to keep selling them and add more bells and whistles. Do you really need app support and data sync? (You don't.)

I wake up every morning to terrible pain under my shoulder blade, same right side that when I sleep and wake up, It's completely stuck and limits my range of motion. The pain is unbearable. What would you recommend for my ribs/under shoulder blade area?
