Royal Oak Super Size briquettes are a low-cost charcoal option that stands out for the large briquette size, long burn time, and strong value for smokers and long cooks. The deal can drop to about $2.93 per bag when three are added to cart, with free shipping or pickup in some cases, and the larger bags can stretch a year of use for some setups. The main drawbacks are that the briquettes can take longer to light, create a lot of ash, and arrive with broken pieces or packaging damage. A practical pick if you want cheap bulk charcoal and can handle the tradeoffs.

Bottom of the barrel briquettes. They burn dirty, burn quick, and leave a ton of ash. Kingsford blue is a tad better imo. If you want something good, B&B orange bag followed by Cowboy briquettes are my top choices.
Thank you so much!

These are ok for grilling, but for longer slow and low cooks there are better alternatives. The B&B orange bag made in the USA does not perform as well as the older orange bag made in Mexico. The current MeatChurch briquettes are made in Mexico and seem to use the old B&B orange bag formulation.

This is definitely slick. Free delivery too? In for 8, it's a no-brainer. I'll be set for the rest of the year for use with my offset smoker. I use wood, but charcoal too to provide consistent heat during long smokes.

Orders placed July 2 (two of the following)

Super Size 10 Pound(s) Classic BBQ Charcoal briquettes
Item #5125891 Model #800002168
$2.93 /ea.
$63.84 $23.44 Saved $37.20
Saved $3.20 with 5% Off On Subscriptions

Just so you know, for anyone who thinks you can only order a maximum of eight bags: that appears to be the limit for a single order.

However, after I ordered eight, I decided to try placing another order once the first one was completed, and it allowed me to do it. So I placed a second order for another eight bags, and they are coming Sunday with free delivery. Or you could have, anyway, but at least the next time you want more of something from Lowe's, try placing another order.

I am not sure how many separate orders you can place this way, but I know you can place two for a total of 16 bags.

Hope your orders arrive fine. I 'heard' my order arrive when the fedex guy dropped it on my porch. The bags where in the bottom with some air packs on top (where they do no good). I had to empty the box in the yard due to all the powdered charcoal at the bottom.

I *think* this deal ends tonight. Per Lowe's website, 50K+ bought in the past week...

I didn't think about the delivery logistics when I ordered mine to be delivered, but the FedEx person threw them over our front gate and when I went to get them 2 of the bags had busted open with a bunch of briquettes all over the place. I suppose I'm glad they didn't just leave them outside the gate in the middle of the street, but at the same time it would have been nice if they could have just placed them over gently since there was just 3 loose bags so they clearly knew what it was (not in any kind of box or packaging).
Not the end of the world but in retrospect maybe I should have just picked them up. Ah well.
