Bought this 2-pack back in March of the year at the same price to add to my flashlight collection. I thought at the time that I would use it as an EDC due to its flat and small size. However due to all my flashlights, found I didn't carry it everyday and have even given the 2nd one away. Nevertheless it is a unique design and recommend it for its utility -- but only if you have already purchased one of the cheaper $5 regular LED flashlights featured already in SD.

Hey, it's a $6 flashlight, I really feel you didn't need to expend that much time and energy in a response.

that's harsh. i honestly feel like some of my most well researched and agonized over purchases were sub $10 buys.

These are my EDC. My biggest issue is they keep getting lost. They are not the brightest, but plenty bright for what I need. The battery life is really good. Build quality, for $6 is pretty good. They are thin and don't bulge out of your pocket. I keep losing them, so I keep buying more when they go on sale.

I have no idea why you're recommending the big, whatever cheap flashlight a Trixhub is. Do you work there? I have gone down the flashlight rabbit hole and I have really strong and expensive flashlights that put out a lot of lumens. My absolute favorite though is a OLIGHT i3E EOS that goes on sale sometimes for 5 bucks. It's not too bright so you can actually see what you're doing and it's small enough with a clip that you can put it wherever you want. These seem similar with a form-factor that seems useful for a lot of stuff.

Edit: just got it and it's pretty cool. It has the magnetic base, the light can go forward or down, it has a red light that saves your eyes in the dark. I like it, it's going to be useful.

The Trixhub flashlights are the current front page deal on basic flashlights. You can get a pair for $9.90. Sorry I didn't provide a link for you since it is a current deal. It's 700 lumens output is more than adequate for everyday use, but it is somewhat too large and heavy for an EDC. However every household should have at least one (in this case 2) at this price.

I got the two pack for $11.99. Because of its size and my limited needs, it has become my everyday flashlight. It's so light, I have one clipped to my T-shirt and another to my jeans (I only wear one of them at any given time). And it's one of the few flashlights that can actually be clipped to a cap. It's simply the most convenient flashlight I own. That said, here's a list of cons:

1) There is no power level indicator so don't depend on this for hiking or long walks in the woods. It'll just stop working without warning.

2) The front lights are only 200 lumens. That's fine for me but it's not for power users. The side light reaches 800 lumens on Turbo but after 30 secs, it automatically goes down to High.

3) Unlike most flashlights, the front light is COB. That means it gives out a diffuse light that doesn't reach very far. However, the light is very wide so it's great for lighting short distances and small spaces.

4) As others have mentioned, it keeps getting lost. Luckily, I haven't lost it since clipping it to my clothes.

One BIG plus, however, is that you can reach the Strobe mode directly from Off by pressing the power button twice. That's useful for blinding an assailant so that you can flee or make the first blow. Many flashlights make you cycle through many modes before reaching Strobe, making it useless in an emergency. This reason alone makes me carry it. And give several as gifts.
