I love my alternate reality Makita stuff. I don't need a jigsaw but this is tempting.

I'm just learning diy, and have been looking for a relatively inexpensive jigsaw. Is this just a total waste of money though?

I've been seeing a ton of this brand name popping up. Is it decent quality or what? The backpack sprayer had a lot of positive reviews but that's really the only thing I've looked at in depth

I bought their mini chainsaw one day when it was on a huge sale for $20. Honestly, not a bad brand at all. Obviously nothing fancy, but it does it's job.

If you're just learning to DIY, I recommend going with a more well known brand. Ryobi is a good place to start if you're doing odd jobs around the house. You really don't need the Dewalt or Milwaukee unless you're planning on taking on heavy duty work.

I used to only buy DeWalt but I sold those and I've collected around 25-30 Ryobi tools over the past 7-8 years including the brushless jigsaw which is awesome (don't get the non-brushless jigsaw because the tilt adjustment sucks) and I'd recommend going with Ryobi for the least expensive but still good quality tools with a HUGE assortment of tools and very good priced batteries, but I've also bought around 14 different Seesii tools over the past 2 years and Seesii tools all work fine like Pittsburg or Bauer quality and are ridiculously low price for everything included and how well they actually work, with Ryobi being better quality similar to DeWalt but siginificantly less expensive.

Answer from AI:

Makita batteries work in most SeeSii tools. SeeSii power tools are designed to be compatible with the standard 18V Makita LXT battery interface, allowing users to run SeeSii equipment using their existing Makita battery inventory.
Key compatibility details include:
  • Battery Systems: SeeSii tools primarily support 18V and 21V Makita-style batteries. Most models use the standard 3-pin configuration found in Makita LXT tools.
  • Specific Models: Tools such as the SeeSii WH710 impact wrench, RT600B ratchet wrench, and 21V angle grinder are confirmed to accept Makita batteries.
  • Limitations: Some SeeSii tools may require specific voltages; for example, a 21V SeeSii soldering iron station is compatible with 18V and 21V Makita batteries but not 12V units.
  • Reverse Compatibility: While Makita batteries fit SeeSii tools, SeeSii batteries generally do not work in Makita tools due to proprietary communication protocols that prevent Makita tools from recognizing third-party batteries.
