It is carbon steel though - and I just stuck a magnet on it, and it should work with induction, so, seems like it will work for my setup. The 7" bottom will fit with my 8" induction, and it seems thick enough not to warp.

The nonstick seems to just be a function of the carbon steel, since there's no warnings about the coating anywhere. Same as the nonstick on the Amazon item.

The big difference I can see is the pre-seasoning and the glass lid, but I've got a few glass lids that'll fit, and never had an issue seasoning things I put oil in anyway.
You stuck a magnet on it before you ordered?

I did not order it because someone tried to put a magnet on it.

Wood handle is deal breaker. Helps with heat transfer/holding but broken by cleanup issues.
I, oth, believe a wooden handle is a good thing. You don't run the risk of accidentally burning your hand or having to look for some other insulator when woking.

And for $20, what is there to complain about, if the handle lasts 3-5 years.

True, but why on this post out of all others? There's true utility here.

Can we get confirmation that this is indeed carbon steel? Only reason I jumped on it. But the comments are saying it has a nonstick coating?

I've never seen a wok with a pour spout before. When I was shopping for a wok a few years ago, I came across numerous woks on Amazon, Walmart, and local Asian stores, but none of them had a pour spout.
The pour spout can be detrimental to structure on a loaded wok.

Just got the Wok from this deal yesterday and used it for the first time for dinner last night.
A few observations:
1. Although the description says pre-seasoned, the instructions that come with it tell you to wash it thoroughly with soap and water, and then tells you to season with sunflower seed oil it a few times. It doesn't say anywhere on the packaging that is was pre-seasoned. Since the instructions tell you to wash it with soap first, I didn't chance it to not have leftover manufacturing toxins and gave it a thorough first wash and gave it 4 cycles of full seasoning.
2. Besides that, the quality seems good, the wooden handle is solid, and the weight (gauge) of the carbon steel is pretty heavy which is what you'd want. Any heavier and I doubt most people would find it easy to use.

Hope this helps!

I'm guessing he just thinks a wok is unnecessary for his life, and projecting to others. Gotta love how some people can't see things from others' perspectives.
