Not only is that just better for longevity, but it means there's room in the box to throw extra stuff.
Yeah, it won't have a labelled spot or a socket holder or whatever...but as long as they aren't huge, you can fit a bunch of specialty sockets, some longer extensions, some pliers, etc. in the empty space (especially in the 3/8ths drawer).
