If you're buying fair or even good, IMO do store pickup. I've had to return them more often than not and usually just ask if they can open the box/show the quality of them item before I officially pick up so I can cancel the order if it's in rough shape.
Look at the items closely as well. I bought an HP Transcend 14" gaming laptop and the screen was coming off even though it was in excellent condition - they replaced the entire unit with another one and the same thing happened within a week so just returned it.

yeahhhhh I've got some crazy best buy deals before, but some people are just horrible so always be on the lookout. It happens at all retailers though. Supposedly SD'ers in the switch 2 $342 deal opened their boxes and there were switch 1's in it.
Recently, I purchased HP AIO from bestbuy as openbox. I do not know how, but ssd had only 47% life left when tested in bios sys menu. Immediately returned. Check their open boxes carefully.

Microcenter let me keep that 1tb in spare and gave me a brand new pcie 2tb main and clean installed it for me
I'll relay its quality later, as I have 15 days to return it if it happens to suck
