I wouldn't buy this even at 13. your best case for this would be something needs a wifi signal but no real bandwidth. you use the Ethernet port and turn this into a wifi adapter or you put it in dual mode. one band transmit one band receive if that available.

I use one of these to extend my router's range and use it with a Tapo webcam. Seems to be working ok for me at 2k. However, I'm open to suggestions since I'm not well versed in these things. Is that not a good use for one of these? Spending big bucks for a mesh router or system is not an option for me at this time. Should I plan on one of those in the future instead of this extender?

Take note that this is a wifi 5 extender. Not wifi 6, 6E, or 7.

Using this to make a non wifi printer into wifi is worth the $13 vs buying a new printer

excellent deal, not only does it have ethernet but also does dual band backhaul where it can use 5g to talk to the router and blast out on 2.4 for devices

For people complaining that this isn't Wi-Fi 6, here's a Linksys Wi-Fi 6 AX1800 extender, refurbished, for a couple bucks more ($15.44).

https://www.amazon.com/Linksys-Du...0BFRX4HFF/

I can't speak to it directly, but it has much higher throughout and also has an Ethernet port.

These WiFi5 extenders were on sale for under $10 back years ago when they were still sort of relevant. Now they're relics.

much better. you can find wifi 6 at this price as you did.. wifi 6 has alot of good features where i wouldn't consider wifi 5 anymore unless it top of the line wifi 5 like orbi ac3000. I still recommend wifi 6 to people as the tech is still available at rock bottom prices and is more friendly to lazy set ups.

Wi-Fi 6e just adds the 6Ghz band to Wi-Fi 6. 6Ghz requires near-line-of-site to be effective, so it might not make a lot of sense on an extender like this (though, they do exist). The likelihood is that the 5ghz is going to be just as good on a device like this for most setups. I would think that, unless you have specific plans and a need for 6Ghz, the Wi-Fi 6 extender listed above is the best bang for you buck.
